*It an old song in new tune
*We shall redefine our party for better performance
With the tantrums emerging from the possible movement of the current ruling political structure in Kwara State, the chairman of the Caucus for Progressive Change (CPC) a breakaway part of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Samari Abdullahi has charged at the State governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed.
Chairman of the Caucus for Progressive Change, Alhaji Samari Abdullahi, said “we do appreciate our well wishers, supporters and the teeming good people of Kwara State for their words of encouragement and support since we made our struggle against injustice, segregation, intimidation and impunity within our party public.”
The former Education Commissioner told www.gongnews.net “we are overwhelmed with the support from all over the world as it comes through commendations which has strengthened our resolve to restore the party to the path of hope and integrity in which the good people of Kwara voted us in 2015.
Abdullahi who was a former lecturer in the Kwara State Polytechnic also added, “we have raised very few posers in the last 12 days or thereabout but many were the conflicting answers from both government and leadership of Balogun-Fulani led APC executive.
“We asked for the umpteenth time, who were the followers of the political family of Mr. Governor that asked him and his godfather to leave PDP in 2014? Can we see the resolution of that, an all-important meeting? You may leave for another party but not PDP? That’s the tone of the hurried statement issued by Mr. Akorede, one of the aides of the Governor on Tuesday.
Alhaji Samari Abdullahi enthused: “we are not in a hurry to reply the governor or anyone playing on words for now. We are busy on re-branding the party and mobilising more people into the party particularly those that were scared away by the entry of the former in 2014.
“We want to thank the people of the state for the abiding faith in us. We shall on a regular basis keep the people informed and adequately updated.”
