Abubakar Bukola Saraki Ilorin FC Thursday unveiled new kits for its players and officials at the Palms Mall, GRA, Ilorin in an elaborate ceremony that was attended by the football stakeholders in the country
The new kits, which was powered by one of the leading brands in the world, Puma is part of sponsorship deal they signed with ABS FC, which will run for a period of five years, in an attempt to spur the club for youthful football development.
Speaking at the Ceremony, the brand Manager of Puma in Nigeria, Modupe Adeyemi hailed the partnership of the company with ABS FC, stressing that the team was the first to enjoy the partnership in Nigeria and it will further Improve their efficiency on the pitch
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick, while addressing the gathering, commended the management of ABS FC for the partnership, maintaining that NFF has concluded plans to sign new partnership agreement with a top Corporate Company to sponsor the Federation Cup in an effort to make the age long tournament more attractive.
Amaju was represented at the occasion by Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau.
In his message, the Chairman of the club Seni Saraki appreciated Puma for the sponsorship as he added that the new deal will further encourage and develop Nigerian football.
The deal, according to Seni Saraki will create and improve on an enabling environment for both the players and officials in doing their job properly and perfectly on the field.
The coach of the Ilorin-based team, Henry Makinwa thanked the Chairman of the Club, Sheni Saraki for making it happen and for the opportunity.
He promised that the team will reciprocate by improving on their game and result.
Samuel Oyedeji, who spoke on behalf of the players commended the Chairman and management of the team.
Many football stakeholders from within and outside the country witnessed the occasion, including the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Pharmacist Kale Ayo, Chairman of NPFL Club Owners, Isaac Danladi, Chairman of Kwara United, Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson, Barrister Saliu Bamidele Aluko and the General Manager of Radio Kwara, Alhaji Abdullateef Adebowale Adedeji, who donated a complete DSTV decoder to the club.
