Adeyemo investiture -Team SWAN Oyo commences training

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo state chapter has commenced training ahead of the friendly match against Team Oyo Parliament as part of activities slated for investiture of the Speaker, Oyo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adesina Michael Adeyemo as patron of the association.

The Speaker will be decorated this Friday at the Lekan Salami Stadium during which a friendly match that will be played to honour him which will have the commissioner for youth and sport Barrister Yomi Oke, his information counter part, Toye Arulogun and the leadership of the House in attendance as well as Chief Waidi Ekun and Mr Ade Somefun among many dignitaries.

Speaking on the match, Team SWAN head coach Femi Amusan of AIT informed that the team has started training for the match and that training continues today urging all his players to report to training on time and that the team will embark on close camp to avoid any form of distraction ahead of the match.

“We are aware that our opponent has a formidable team not minding they are politicians but we will not allow any form of distraction in our camp as we expect to field our best legs.”

Also, while chatting with www.gongnews.net the chairman, House committee on sports, Oyo state House of Assembly Mr Fatai Adesina Adeniyi said in clear terms that himself and colleagues are not afraid of the SWAN team who has recorded seven wins in their last eight matches, adding “we are ready and will surely give them good football in order to honour our Speaker”.

He thus expressed appreciation to the executive members of SWAN Oyo for the honour on the Speaker saying this will propel him to do more for sport in the state.
