Badminton: Senchi emerges African boss

Former President of the Nigeria Badminton Federation, Justice Danlami Suleiman Senchi, has emerged as the president of Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA). He defeated the incumbent President, Mr Larry Keys of South Africa, to be the new Tsar of the federation.
The elections which was done faraway Gold Coast Australia saw Senchi amassing 63 votes as against the immediate past president of BCA, Larry Keys, who got 32 votes
Meanwhile the newly elected president Hon. Justice Danlami Senchi who also doubles as the outgoing president of Nigeria Badminton Federation president says the victory is for all lovers of badminton both in Nigeria and beyond.
‘Well let me give Allah the Glory for journey mercy because its a long trip leaving my continent Africa to come contest for this big position. Its also interesting for you to know that I have dedicated the victory in this election to all lovers of badminton even my friend Mr Larry Keys of South Africa for all he’s been doing for our confederation. I salute you,” he said in praises of his immediate predecessor.
“Finally, I believe its going to be a good era in BCA thus, I urged you to support me to take the sport to the next destination,” Senchi said.
The new President is a serving judge in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
