FC Ifeanyi Ubah players have arrived Cairo, Egypt ahead of their crucial 2nd leg match against Egyptian club Al-Masry SC on Sunday.
Tamen Medrano’s 87th minute goal for FC Ifeanyi Ubah was the only goal that separats the two teams in the first leg encounter of the CAF confederation cup match played on Sunday 12th February at the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium complex in Ozubulu, Anambra state.
The Anambra Warriors need at least a point from the return game that would be played in the city of Ismailia to qualify for the next round of the competition.
The second leg match will be played on Sunday 19th February 2017.
The Proprietor, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Thursday, urged the Nigerian community in Egypt to come out en masse to cheer the Nigerian Professional Football League side to victory.
Dr. Ubah, who joined his team to jet out to Egypt Thursday, aboard an EgyptAir flight. In a statement personally signed by him said: “To the Nigeria community in Egypt, I write to inform you that one of the Nigerian clubs will be playing against Al-Masry SC in Ismailia stadium Egypt and wish to have you all at the stadium to cheer the team up.
