*Posters flood his constituency
There seems to be a gathering storm against the legislative life of the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, with a planned recall which has gathered a new momentum in Ilorin as posters to that effect surfaced in the state capital.
The threat to recall Saraki is being championed by a group, Kwara must change.
Although, the group is yet to issue a statement on the planned recall of Saraki, the posters are seen as the beginning of the process.
The group accused Saraki of turning the state into his personal estate.
The anti-Saraki posters surfaced a few hours after the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to proceed with the recall process of one of the Senate President’s close allies, Senator Dino Melaye.
Melaye is representing Kogi West Senatorial District.
Issue is, the Saraki camp is yet to respond to the new twist.
Citizens of the country are waking up to the reality of their powers to recall erring legislators who are not living up to their billing. Whether this will succeed needs to be awaited though.
