Abuja, the nation’s capital will on Sunday receive and accommodate giants in the fold of the Celestial Church of Christ Central Cathedral when they celebrate this year’s harvest ceremony with prayers for the nation and her leaders to be able to deliver on
God’s promise for His people. According to a statement issued by Tunde Orebiyi, “the 2016 harvest of divine increase is real. This year’s event began with power packed Revival on Monday 21st of November 2016 at the church premises at Area 10 Garki.
The church understanding why the nation must flourish brought famous servants of God to help the people draw deep inspirations, guidance and light. This year’s theme was taken from the book of Psalm 71 verse 21, with the subject being divine increase.
“Evangelist Femi Olufowoshe who is based in Canada, Prophet Imisioluwa Fakeye and Evangelist Ekunola Davies both from Lagos were flown to the FCT to pray for peace, tranquility and unity of the nation. They also prayed to God to eliminate recession and increase the nation’s economy through the handwork of Nigerians in all businesses.
The Harvest chief host, Shepherd in charge and head of northern states headquarters Most Superior Evangelist Dr Paul Jaiyeola says famous Gospel Musicians Dr Lanre Teriba, Bayo Apata and Lady Evangelist Funmi Black and The Glory of God Choir will entertain from 8pm this Friday night.
Dr Paul Jaiyeola says the church’s team will take on prison evangelism on Saturday before rounding off the activities with thanksgiving and prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari.
The 36 governors and their teams as well as our legislators and the judiciary will on Sunday enjoy massive blessing and prayers by the Most Superior Evangelist (Professor) Aisida from Lagos.
The import of harvest in Celestial Church: Orebiyi explains the import and essence of harvest in the church saying, “in Christian life, the practice of harvest is to remind ourselves of the end time that will be concluded by the chief harvester (Jesus Christ) who said He will come like a thief in the night un-announced.
“In Celestial Church of Christ, the celebration of Harvest festival on an annual basis is both for the Juvenile and Adult separately is highly recognised and given prominent recognition.
“It involves all and sundry to participate at different level depending on the capacity and membership strength of the parish. However, the basic ingredient of the anniversary if to give thanksgiving to the Lord Almighty during a glorious Sunday Service with sharing of food and drinks to all visitors and or residents in and around the church premises.
“We should not lose sight of the requirement from all membership to contribute to the celebration according the blessing of God on individual family or members. This is with a reference to Cain and Abel as well as El-kanah, Hannah and Peninnah.
“The stories cited above should make everyone be careful of the role being played in the church during the harvest celebrations. At different times too, it was written about king David too, how he reverenced God during harvest celebrations.
“Therefore, it has become an unquestionable activity in Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide to organise and celebrate joyfully the annual Juvenile and Adult Harvest anniversary and it is the best time to work and be patient enough to seek God’s face and receive the most positive response on any long unanswered prayer request(s) like Hanna did.
