Comrade Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, the Chairman of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)’s technical and development committee has urged the Super Eagles to go all out this evening as the team prepares to tackle Angola in the quarter finals of the ongoing CHAN Nations cup championship in Tangier, Morocco.
Fresh who is the leader of the delegation to the CHAN Nations Cup in Morocco spoke exclusively to www.gongnews.net
“As the technical committee chairman of Nigeria Football Federation I have been monitoring the progress of our boys so far in this tournament. From the group stage where the Eagles came out as leaders which has paired them against Angola. I have been very close to the team since they returned from Agadir where they played the last group match against Equatorial Guinea.
“Of course, the Agadir match wasn’t an easy one but we pushed through as a result of hard work and resilience. And I very sure the Super Eagles can move on to the next level in this championship with determination,” Fresh said.
Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh who is also vice chairman Referees’ Appointment committee further revealed what has been happening in the camp of the team since they returned from Agadir.
“Since we returned to Tangier it has been an interesting outing for us here. The Hon. Minister for Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung visited the team in Tangier just to motivate them ahead of today’s match.
“Just yesterday members of the Green Chambers’ House committee on sports, led by the chairman Hon. Goni Lawal were at the training session with the team. Of course, they charged our boys to defeat Angola in the quarter finals.
And I am upbeat that having important personalities around to encourage our team from the Ministry of Youths and Sports, the Green Chamber, the Nigeria Football Federation is part of the motivations which am very proud to say that Super Eagles led by coach Salisu Yusuf won’t let millions of Nigerians down today in the quarter finals,’ Fresh boasted.
Meanwhile as the quarter final match between Super Eagles and Angola goes down at 4:30pm local time in Morocco and 5:30 pm Nigerian time. The likes of Nigeria Football Federation chairman referees appointment committee Alhaji Rabiu Inuwa, Chairman match commissioner appointment committee Babagana Khalid, independent Chairman Nationwide League One (NLO) Mohammed Alkali amongst others have also been monitoring the progress of the team since they arrived Morocco and they believe the Eagles would fly higher this evening in Tangier-Morocco.
