With Edo state blazing the trail with the inauguration of the Family Court, the Child Protection Network is celebrating the state’s judiciary for responding to the demands of our modern society.

A statement issued in Benin-City by Jennifer Ero the coordinator of the Network said, “the inauguration of the Family Court in Edo State will take place on the 9th January 2017, at the Edo state High Court 1, on Sapele Road at10am .

For us, we are indeed grateful to the chief judge of Edo State, Justice Cromwell Idahosa, for his sterling leadership that led to the timeous establishment of the court in the state.

CPN started this struggle since 2011 ,we are indeed grateful to God, Special thanks go to UNICEF and other partners , is a dream come true. With this court, Edo children can enjoy the protection of their rights. The Child Right Law was passed to law in the state since 2007.
