Clement Obafaiye, former Radio Kwara Editor, dies in Ilorin

*Family yet to issue statement, burial plan

Veteran journalist and News Editor of the Kwara State Broadcasting Corporation otherwise known as Radio Kwara, Mr Clement Obafaiye, is dead. He died this morning at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital of Cardiac arrest.

According to his younger brother, Patrick, the former handball goalkeeper who is now resident in the United States of America, “I lost my elder brother died of cardiac arrest, between 1am and 2am.”

Clement who has a very historic birth was born on the day that the nation became politically independent on 1st October 1960.

He is a veritable and consummate professional who is very well appreciated for the quality of training and retraining programme he gave to younger colleagues those days in the newsroom. Very genteel and passionate about the profession.

The family is yet to issue a statement nor give details of the burial arrangements.
