Influential grassroots politician and member of the Nigerian National Assembly, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, was the first civilian governor of Osun State. He died at Biket Hospital in Osogbo on the 23rd April and the family who suspected foul play asked that an autopsy be conducted on him at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
Governor of the state of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola also ordered an inquest into the death but the family, associates and followers had rejected the governor’s inquest.
They accused the government of having already predetermined the outcome of the inquest.
