The body according to General Manager Eshua Joseph will formally notify the Ministry of Youth and Sports about the suspension.
Eshua said the high points of their discussion were the review of their activities in 2016 and plans for the 2017 year which would see the body hosting for the first time the University Cricket Classics involving 18 institutions.
He said there would be a test run for the sport at the NUGA Games later in the year with all the universities free to participate.
He also said the issue of funding and the spread of the sport to all states of the federation were also among the issues critically looked into.
The board according to him approved the programmes submitted to it by the secretariat for the year and called on the Ministry to make funds available for all its programmes.
