Federation elections: Oshonaike short changed on table tennis board
*As Brown Ebewele picks ticket in Athletics
*Madu Abdul wins in Shooting Federation

International star athlete, Funke Oshonaike, has been shortchanged in her bid to become the athlete representative on the board of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) which conducted a supposed election while the African champion is in the national championship preparing to make the nation proud again at the for world championship.
The NTTF selected an unknown quantity named as Oladele Kehinde as the person to take the seat that Oshonaike had signified interest to take.
The Secretary General of the NTTF, Bola Adedeji, was reported to have supervised the said selection.
The six time Olympian had indicated interest to be on the board.
Meanwhile, in athletics, the former Commissioner of Sports in Edo State, Brown Ebewele (Juju Man) has won the votes to represent coaches in the new board of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).
Track and Field coaches conducted an election to produce their representative in the incoming board of the AFN.
The polls held at the Conference Hall of the National Stadium, Package A in Abuja.
The contestants included Messrs Henry Amike, Samuel Fatunla, Solomon Aliyu, Femi Emmanuel and coach Gad Onuegbu.
Following manifestos, two candidates dropped out, four candidates contested the elections where 67 votes were cast.
Ebewele got 31 votes, Henry Amike polled 19 votes to come second while Femi Emmanuel had 9 with Samuel Fatunla taking the rear with 8 votes.
In the Shooting Federation of Nigeria, coach Madu Abdul was overwhelmingly voted as the Athletes Representatives. The Air Force personnel told www.gongnews.net “I am extremely thankful for the support given me to win this slot. I promise to make every athlete in the sport worth their investment in the sport.”
