*NFF will also support the people with relief materials

Lobi Stars of Makurdi will on Wednesday take on their counterparts Nasarawa United FC of Lafia to raise fund for the victim of the 27th August flood victims that render many people homeless in Makurdi.
The game will be one of the very first time that a game will be played in the Nigerian environment to raise fund for flood victims and the Nigeria Football Federation has decided to be part of the drive initiated by the Lobi Stars Chairman, Mike Idoko, who felt the pain of his people.
He has decided to organise and use the match to raise money for his people. Football will be the tool to use to get the needed support for the flood victims.
Nigeria Football Federation will have a strong representation as two of the federation members from the zone will be there on behalf of the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande and Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh both representing North Central zone will be there to support the State FA to help raise fund for the displaced people of Makurdi on Wednesday.
Speaking with www.gongnews.net Chairman of the NFF media Committee Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande, said the Federation feels the pains of the people of Makurdi and the football house has chosen to support the noble cause initiated by the management of Lobi Stars led by Mike Idoko.
Kwande used the medium to call on all well meaning Nigerians to help the displaced people of Makurdi in whichever way that no assistance to the people is too small, he also disclosed that the Federation will be donating some relief materials for the people in the IDP camps.
It will be recalled that more than 200,000 persons in 25 communities, including Makurdi, have been displaced by flood, while over 3,000 households were destroyed in Benue State.
Meanwhile the state government has, announced the official opening of two camps for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.
