Ford Foundation seminar holds in Abuja Thursday

*Focus on women rights, media advocacy and youth development

Global leader and support organisation, Ford Foundation, is sponsoring a seminar on women rights, youth development and media advocacy in Abuja this week in an event which is addressing several key issues in nominal discourses in the nation.

The much talked about seminar will hold on Thursday 23rd February 2017 at the Chelsea Hotel in Abuja at 9:00am.

It’s a two-day activity.

Senator Binta Garba, the chairperson of the Red Chambers of the National Assembly’s committee on women affairs will give the keynote address at the event. She is also designed to declare it open.

By virtue of the issues being tackled, the seminar is certainly expected to attract major stakeholders in the system.

The seminar is being organised by the Proactive Gender Initiative. The two-day workshop is to also examine how to use the media to propagate women rights and provoke youth development.

Resource persons are expected from different rich backgrounds of diverse human endeavours including media practitioners and civil society leaders.
