*To restructure the State, improve living standard of all Kwarans
As the nation’s political scene keeps getting hotter, Kwara’s gubernatorial atmosphere is receiving publisher of Healthcare Magazine, Dr. Bola Tajudeen Olaosebikan, who has joined the gubernatorial race in the coming elections 2019.
A close associate of the aspirant told www.gongnews.net that, Olaosbikan is a contender and not a pretender. He is principled and best suited to make up for the political losses of the state especially in the last eight years we have been in the reverse gear.”
The former Kwara State Commissioner for Health is ecstatic in taking up the challenge of confronting the huge challenges of the State, which according to him can only be achieved by an experienced and visionary leader with track records of public service without any godfather syndrome.
In a press release signed by his spokesman, Mr. Dele Aberuagba, the gubernatorial aspirant stated that, “we are all aware Kwara is faced with acute water supply, bad road networks and dilapidated infrastructure amongst others, the only way I can contribute to improving all these and more is to come out and bring my vast experience to bear in serving my people. It cannot be a better time than now.”
According to Dr. Olaosebikan, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. Hence, I strongly believe my resolve to join the race is a decision in the right direction to join my people in Kwara to restructure the State and bring about structures that will improve the living standard of all Kwarans.
He added, “as I make my intention known publicly, I therefore call on all Kwarans wherever they are all over the world to join me in the vision of moving the state forward. Your unflinching support and prayers will go a long way in restoring the hope of the ordinary man in Kwara, so we can take our place in the annals of Nigeria’s history”.
Dr. Olaosebikan however reflected that, “this is definitely not about me, but about our dear state and the in-coming generation because we need to bequeath to them a good legacy that will stand the test of time”.
As part of his massive awareness programmes towards the elections, a movement known as Olasco Support Group had already launched social media blitz to support their candidate with a flier stating 10 reasons why he has to be voted as the next governor of the state.
Dr. Olaosebikan will be visiting all the Local Government Areas in the State with a view to rubbing minds with all stakeholders and the populace in Kwara. This is indeed, One Kwara, One Nigeria Project!
Affirming the need for all that wants the best for Kwara State to join him, the aspirant noted, “though the journey ahead is onerous and tedious but with God on our side, we shall triumph. If we do not do it together, no one will do it for us. Let us join hands together in order to take our dear State to a new level, Kwara needs your unflinching support this time around. Together we shall transform the State”. Join Dr. Bola Olaosebikan in taking over Kwara Government House come 2019.
Olaosebikan was a former Commissioner for Environment and later Commissioner of Health under the first term of Dr. Bukola Saraki as Governor.
He attended Kwara State College of Technology and the University of Ibadan College of Medicine where he obtained an MBBS degree. He was at a time the National Assistant Secretary General of the Nigeria Medical Association; Board member of the Lagos State Hospital Management Board and member of Lagos State Transition Committee during the administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Dr. Olaosebikan who runs Sunrise Clinic based in Lagos, according to dependable source has resolved to turn around the infrastructure and investment in the state and use his wealth of experience in the health sector to elevate Nigeria’s health system through innovative health plans and strategic actions.
