*Honours Olaoluwa Aro for his birthday
In recognition of his immense contributions to the growth and development of Nigerian football, the mascots of the national team decorated NFF board member, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh with their sports awards on excellence.
Fresh who doubles as the Niger State FA chairman was described as the hope of the grassroots in Nigeria, owing to the positive impacts he has made towards developing football from the grassroots.
Spokesperson of the Nigerian mascots, Adekunle popular known as “Kunu” described Fresh as the hope of the youths “He is a man that has passion for football in Nigeria, more so, he invests his personal resources on the youths irrespective of your background. He is a true Nigerian, we need many people like him for the betterment of football in this country”.
Also presented with award was President of Nigeria football Referees Association Mr. Tade Azzez who was described as “Iroko of Nigerian Referees”. Also recognised was an Abuja-based young journalist, Mr Olaoluwa Aro, of Independent Television Abuja who was given a special birthday card.
The Nigerian mascots are known for their passionate followership of sports in Nigeria, with beautiful painting and massive support of the national teams.
