Maxisports drags Felele to Police over threat to life

*Two other journalists got threats too

Leading sports and entertainment firm, Maxi Sports, has dragged a website designer, Mr Taye Adigun better known as Felele247 to the police over allegations of threat to life of its CEO, Olaoluwa Aro and two other journalists, Adewale Ajayi and Jane Frances-Nweze.

According to a letter sent to the Police Force, copy of which is in the possession of www.gongnews.net titled: “letter of complaint of threat to life, intimidation, blackmail and plot by owner of felele247, Taye Adigun, to waste Maxi sports CEO (Olaoluwa Aro)’S life and two others: (Jane Frances Nweze and Adewale Ajayi).

The two-page petition quoted Mr Adigun of having used various languages to threaten the troika over a job which was given to him on compassion. Adigun was quoted in the petition to have written on various WhatsApp fora: “[1/3, 7:58 PM] Taye Felele: I have already made my mind anywhere I set on you. Na to waste. Go and ask of me in unilorin.

[1/3, 7:59 PM] Taye Felele: You this Allora.

[1/3, 7:59 PM] Taye Felele: Danyinska”

On another occasion, Adigun was also cited to written: “[1/4, 10:04 AM] Taye Felele: I will treat their fuck ups, they don’t know a shit about me. I will make sure @jane and @Olawale Ajayi and Ola (Aro) eat grass both physically and spiritually.”

The fact that he claimed to be a cult member while as a student of the University of Ilorin made it very difficult to overlook all these. That informed the choice to be safe than regret and we took the matter before the Police in Maitama.

“Maxi Sports Entertainment International has paid Mr Taye Adigun the sum of ten thousand Naira only (N10,000) on 3rd January, 2018 after receiving the money due to media from the sponsor. Mr Taye Adigun has admitted and acknowledged receiving the sum of ten thousand Naira for designing the tournament’s logo.

We as a young consulting firm known for transparency, accountability and high professionalism issued a press statement to the public that we henceforth disassociate ourselves from Mr Taye Adigun on Thursday, 3rd January, 2018.

Interestingly, on same day, Mr Taye Adigun went further to threaten our CEO, Olaoluwa Aro, on different platforms, which we quoted on whataspp platform.

He did not stop there, he also threatened Mr Olaoluwa Aro’s life and two other prominent Sports journalists in Nigeria’s on 4th January, 2018.

We believed that the lives of our staff is no more save and that of the two other prominent journalists due to Mr Taye Adigun’s statement on him being a cultist formerly while studying in University of Ilorin, Ilorin.

It was on this premise we bring to the notice of the Nigeria Police Force this urgent development and trust for immediate action.

It would be recalled that Mr Adigun was dragged by www.gongnews.net before the Police in Gwarimpa over similar threat to life some two years ago when he entered the backend of the company’s website and deleted the database of three years’ production over a claim of N50,000 which was not on a formal contract.
