Teenage striker, Stephen Odey, promised their visitors no mercy when the enter the Agege stadium and kept the promise as he scored a hat trick on Sunday for his MFM team.
They trounced visiting Lobi Stars 4-0 in one of the Nigeria Professional Football League matches played on Sunday at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
The youngster started the onslaught in the 28th minute before adding the second in the 59th minute.
Tchato Giscard made it three in the 66th minute before Odey completed his hat-trick a minute later to secure the maximum points for his team.
Kano Pillars came from a goal down to beat Shooting Stars 2-1 with Adamu Mohammed scoring a late goal to ensure victory. Plateau United made it three straight wins after defeating Sunshine Stars 3-1 in Jos as they maintained their hold on top position.
Two goals from Benjamin Turba and another from Kabiru Umar were enough to secure the victory over Sunshine who played with 10 men from the 26th minute of the game after Ayo Saka was given his matching order.
In some of the other matches played, ABS defeated IfeanyiUbah 1-0 in Ilorin, Rangers secured their first victory when they beat El- Kanemi Warriors 1-0 in Enugu. Remo Stars ended Abia Warriors’ unbeaten start to the season with a 1-0 victory while Rivers United also defeated Niger Tornadoes 1-0. Katsina United, Wikki Tourists secured a 1-0 wins against Nasarawa United and Akwa United respectively as Enyimba beat Gombe United 2-0.
