Offa Community Schools soccer tourney kicks off

*Junior, senior and women categories at stake

All is set for the 4th Offa Community Schools Sports Foundation’s soccer competition  among various  schools in Offa Local Government. Over 70 schools are participating in various categories of the annual soccer competition sponsored by Professor  Jamiu Oyawoye and organised by OCSSF under the  leadership of Chief Ayotunde Raji.

Over 40 schools sports officials were in attendance on Wednesday at the draws that was made in the following categories 32 schools for the primaries, 18 for females, in secondary schools, 20 for junior schools and 20 for the senior schools. This cuts across both private and public schools in Offa LGA.

The competition is expected to kick off as from Monday 16th October 2017 and the final is expected to be played on Saturday 2nd December, 2017

The following centres have been marked for the playing of matches:

1  Adesoye  College

  1. St.  Clares Anglican Girls Grammar School
  2. Anglican Commercial College

4 . Olofa stadium (for the junior, female and senior categories)

Primary schools categories shall be playing their matches in the following centres:

Iyeru Okin Primary, Lamodi  LGEA,  St.  Cyprian and Ogidiri LGEA matches between the hours of 9:00am – 11:00am.

This year’s entries makes it the most highly impressive entries since her inception. Cash Prizes, medals and trophies are to be won in all the categories.

The competition is held annually to engage the students apart from their normal academic exercises, to build friendly environment through sports.
