*National interest informed my first decision to step down – Irabor
*Abhors how Dikko uses club owners to destroy league, attack him

Friday morning like a shifting shaft, the unthreaded news went viral that the sole owner of the League Management Company (LMC), Hon Nduka Irabor, has walked away from his property. It sounded like a rumour. Now, we can report the well woven intrigues that informed how and why he was forced to leave the dream he nurtured and grew to the stage of maturity.
Our well informed sources told us of how Hon Nduka Irabor, the pioneer chairman of the LMC had to concede his seat for Shehu Dikko to enable Amaju Pinnick (both of them are from Delta State) emerge as the NFF President in 2014.
By that arrangement, Salisu Abubakar, was supposed to step aside to allow a Yoruba person emerge as the Chief Operating Officer of the LMC. No sooner than Irabor stepped down, the arrangement was breached and sustained by the northern cabal who feel football administration in Nigeria is their preserve.
After stepping aside, Irabor has had reasons to complain that what is being done was not what the vision was. Rather, Dikko who has practically bought the media and the co-called club owners, will set them to call him (Irabor) all manners of names and derogatory and unpublishable terms both in the regular media (radio, internet, television and print) as well as on the various social media.
Each time he wants to destroy the league, it is the same club owner folks he uses. Whenever he complains, it is the same club owners he sets out as attack dogs to abuse and annihilate him.
By the end of last season, the man (Irabor) felts he’s had enough insults. His children get embarrassed reading, hearing and atime watching some persons who are not fit to be his valets will be calling him all sorts of names.
By January, there are certain processes in the LMC that everyone is to fill. It was sent to him, Hon Irabor returned it empty. It was sent back to him via a delegation, the man chased the delegation away.
It was the turn of some media folks who are supposedly close to him. They went to his Ikoyi residence in Lagos. The man out of anger refused to see his ‘friends’ but he sent for them, met with them where he explained the entire circumstances to them.
It would be recalled that ahead of the 2015 Nigeria Professional Football League season, the appointment of Shehu Dikko as the new boss of the League Management Company was announced.
Some directors were also named which included the former LMC boss Nduka Irabor, Lobi Stars’ Dominic Iorfa, Sunshine Stars’ Akin Akinbobola, Salihu Abubakar, Okey Ibeh and Ayo Ayodele, with other three members Sharks’ Okey Kpaluwu, Mahmud Umar and El-kanemi Warriors’ Suleiman Chindo.
