*God brought Buhari for us, will not fail us
Senior special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on disability matters, Dr. Samuel Ankeli, has challenged People With Disabilities (PWDs) to always see themselves as the special people.
Ankeli who was speaking at a one-day sallah empowerment for person with disabilities on Thursday in Abuja added, “I want to thank you on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari.
In his words, “have you ever seen an actor die for film before? Buhari no fit die na actor him be.
God brought him for particular purposes for this country. My appointment as Senior Special Adviser to the President on disability matters is divine.
“I want to thank you all for being patient with this government. President Buhari asked me to tell you that we must live as one no amount of intimidation, confusion and threats can change the destiny of this country.
We, people with disabilities must insist that Nigeria must be one. We have noticed in the time of crisis in the past we are the ones that survive most. We must not allow individuals with selfish interests to drive our passion and emotion.
It will not be acceptable in this government.
President Buhari has given me message to you that people with disabilities are special to his heart. You remain special in his heart. What he (Buhari) said he will do for Nigerians he will do it.
It is this special values he attached to us that made him create an office for us.
Ankeli took the opportunity to plead with members of the National Assembly to complete the process on the Disability Bill before them.
“I want to use this medium to appeal to the Senate President and Speaker, House Representatives to pass the Bill. Mr President is waiting. It is our right to have our Commission.
“I want to send a note of warning that God is not happy with the National Assembly if they don’t fix the Bill on disability. God brought Buhari for our sake and he will not fail us.
