Sunshine Stars football club of Akure striker, Thomas Adeshina, has promised to score more goals for the Akure gunners after his scintillating over the head kick debut goal against Katsina United on Wednesday in Akure township stadium.
The week 16 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter which took place at Akure Township Stadium excited the home crowd and was a good welcome for the young striker.
Adeshina known among the football followers as ‘Godspower’ was full of praise to the management, the coach and his teammates over the encounter that saw Sunshine Stars 2- 0 triumph over is visiting Katsina United.
The former Shooting Stars of Ibadan player said, “we prepared for the game very well. I am very happy we got the three points. I believe we will make our fans proud from today.
We are not happy with the result of our last league match where we lost 2-1 to Niger Tornadoes of Minna. Sunshine Stars are play away to billionaire FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Sunday in Nnewi.
He however assured the newly appointed caretaker Committee headed by former Director General of the defunct National Sport Commission (NSC) and the new governor of Ondo State “the pride of the team will be restored” Adeshina enthused.
