Sunday Bada project: Life & Style to manage the fund raiser
*Every Kogi citizen should rise to support this project

Life and Style Limited, an Abuja-based company, has been appointed as the Brand Managers of the Sunday Bada project which is expected to aggressively mobilise the nation’s citizens to buy-in to the former Sydney Olympics 4x400m gold medallist.
Receiving the letter appointing his company, the Project Manager, Mr Segun Ojo expressed his joy to be able to market one of the best athletes produced in this nation. To many of us, the late Sunday Bada is a hero. Especially for those of us who grew in Ilorin where he started his athletics career.
Having the honour to market his brand and bring up new kids from Ogidi and its environs where he has come from is a very great addition to our credentials. This helps us to be a part of the vision to bring up a new generation of those who will lift the name of our great nation in international sports.
Revealing the modules of the delivery, Mr Segun Ojo said apart from the various social media platforms, we shall undertake several celebrity endorsements, community mobilisation in Kogi state. With the first lady, Barrister Amina Bello being the chairman of the project, I can say the home front is delivered.
In her remarks, the Executive Director (Technical) of the Nigeria Sports Development Fund Inc (NSDFI), Chief Mary Onyali disclosed that, “we decided to bring in companies to manage all the 10 brands. This is the first to respond. Their deep knowledge and appreciation of the legend Sunday Bada is so outstanding. Their network is also rich. Our faith is strongly tied to theirs.”
The Financial Director, Alhaji Abdulfatai Adeshina said, “every Kogi state citizen is supposed to support this project. You are going to have six centres where you will be trained to become champions and build a great sports career. With the profile of Life & Style Limited, I can say that before December this year, the sod of the project will be turned in Ogidi. I congratulate you ahead.”
Sunday Bada (22 June 1969 – 12 December 2011) was a Nigerian sprinter who specialised in the 400 metres event. He won three medals at the World Indoor championships, including a gold medal in 1997. His personal best time was 44.63 seconds, and with 45.51 seconds indoor he holds the African indoor record. He set a national record in the 4×400 metes relay at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, where the Nigerian team also won gold medals after the disqualification of the USA.
