Tafa dares Chanchaga in Niger Speaker U-17 football final
*Niger State FA lauds LOC for great organisation

This year’s Niger Speaker Cup final, meant for under 17 players will see Tafa local government FC rubbing shoulders with Chanchaga local government FC on Saturday 1st April 2017 at Niger State College of Education Football field in Minna by 3pm.
However, the chairman of the Niger state Football Association, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh has applauded the local organising committee (LOC) of this year’s Speaker’s Cup tournament for putting in a place a well organised football showpiece for the people of the ‘Power House State’.
Fresh praised the Speaker, Alhaji Abdullahi Ahmed Marafa for initiating this wonderful youth development programme that had produced great youths, helped communities to have better understanding and helped some of the players to meet other youths who they have built life long relationships.
Fresh said “the LOC have really done a great job even whilst I was away to London with other executive members, in an official duty for the NFF, I monitored all they were doing via different media, thus, the LOC are very organised because this is an evidence of organisational structure of the Niger state FA.
Yusuf Fresh who also doubles as the vice chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation’s technical and development committee, looks forward to a successful third edition of the championship.
‘The speaker’s cup is avenue for Niger state FA to set out their nets of development, in picking talents that do not have means of identification and to foster relationship between the people of the state from the communities, at the local levels” Fresh disclosed.
The Niger Speaker, Alhaji Abdullahi Ahmed Marafa, is expected to lead members of the parliament and be supported by the Executive and Judicial arm of government to grace the final where a high level of skills display is expected by the finalists.
