*Nigerians must pray for her leaders always
Nigerian leaders have been charged to find lasting solutions to the various challenges affecting the nation in year 2017 as part of efforts to make the people appreciate the presence of God in their lives.
A cleric, Prophet Emmanuel Alonge of Christ Apostle Church, Oke-Imole, Ogidi Oloje Headquarters, Ilorin gave the charge in his new year message said the call becomes necessary to address the economic crisis and the hike in prices of goods and services.
Prophet Alonge who titled the message “the thought of God to mankind” taken from the book of Jeremiah 29 verses 11-12 predicted a better day ahead in 2017.
The cleric called on the Federal Government to declare a National Day of prayer as it was done in Ninevey to seek the face of God for the nation to be great again.
He charged Nigerians not to relent in praying for peace and tranquility to continue to reign in the country.
Prophet Alonge explained that God always have good thought to man, thought of peace, rest of mind and all good things stressing that man have problem with God by their sins.
“if man prays to God and repent, God will also forgive and have mercy on the man” he averred.
The cleric explained that the Lord would favour the masses in 2017 urging the three arms of government to make the downtrodden their centre point by implementing people-oriented programmes and policies aimed at improving the living standard of Nigerians.
Prophet Alonge called on the Judiciary to be faithful to God saying “God Almighty is a judge of all mankind”.
He urged the various governments to diversify the nation`s economy by embarking on aggressive agriculture development and give soft loans to farmers to boost farming activities in the country.
He stated that the Nigeria is blessed with vital land advising the people to embrace farming as one of the ways to addressing the rising cost of food items.
Prophet Alonge who decried the high rate of unemployment and poverty in the land called on the Federal Government to be firm in its fight against corruption and not to be selective to stem the tide in the nation.
He equally called for the judicious use of fund recovered from corrupt leaders.
