By Bosun Adeyemi

Nigerian midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro suffered a suspected shoulder injury during Pisa’s 1-0 win over Cremonese in the Serie A. The 20-year-old, on loan from Inter Milan, was substituted in the 68th minute after landing awkwardly on his shoulder.

Akinsanmiro had been impressive for Pisa this season, earning Man of the Match against Fiorentina and providing his first Serie A assist against AC Milan.

He was expected to earn his first Super Eagles call-up for the World Cup Playoffs but has been replaced by Alhassan Yusuf due to the injury, which is currently being evaluated.
