President of African Beach Soccer Union (ABSU), Mahmud Hadejia has said Beach Soccer has the potential to be played everywhere in Nigeria.
Hadejia, who stated this while speaking with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, commended the Anambra Beach Soccer Association under the leadership of Professor Victor Madubuko for coming up with the facilities that can promote beach soccer in Nigeria.
“I must commend the Anambra beach Soccer Association led by Professor Victor Madubuko and his team you know, for coming up with the promotion of beach soccer in Anambra State. They’ve been able to put up a wonderful facility for beach soccer one of its kind in the country. And one of the very few that we have.
“I think Anambra is ready to go. We’ve been engaging every now and then. And I remember even last year, some of our officials were there to inaugurate the Anambra Beach Soccer Association. This is the very first time that we’re going to meet and I’m really really excited. I can’t wait to be in Anambra.
“We usually host during the salah festivities and you see people trooping in and out. Now, we are going to Anambra. We want to see the culture of the people displayed and showcased to the world.”
