A’Ibom FA Cup Semi Finals: Akwa United To Tackle Vandrezzer FC

The Promise Keepers, Akwa United FC have been drawn against NNL side Vandrezzer FC in the semi final of the Akwa Ibom State FA Cup competition.

The state FA defending championships were drawn bye in the first round of the competition while Vandrezzer defeated Dakkada FC 4-3 on penalties after goalless outcome at the end of regulation time.

In a brief draw ceremony conducted yesterday at the Uyo Township Stadium shortly after the match day two encounter, FC One Rocket who survived a big scare to beat debutants, Blackpool Academy 3-2 on penalties after a goalless game were drawn as Dakkada FC.

Dakkada qualified as best losers due to superior goal difference over fellow contenders Blackpool Academy.

In the semifinal fixtures, FC One Rocket will take on Dakkada FC on Tuesday, March 26 by 4pm, while Akwa United will face Vandrezzer FC on Wednesday, March 27 by 10am for a place in the final. Both games are scheduled for the Uyo Township Stadium.

 

The two finalists will represent the state in the national Federation Cup competition.
