CAFCC: Osho Shift Focus To Orlando Pirates Game

By Olayinka Elebute
Enyimba international FC sweat merchant, Fatai Osho, has shifted his attention to the final group game of the CAF Confederation competition against Orlando Pirates after last Thursday 1-0 defeat by Ahli Benghazi.
The Nigeria side will play host to Orlando Pirates of South Africa in the match day 6 in Aba and Osho is already already talking tough ahead of the crucial game.
“On the defeat to the Libyans, it was quite an improvement on our part. We knew we needed a good result here to stand a chance of going through to the quarter-finals.
“The players are aware of this and they worked hard. After that goal, we tried hard to see what we could do to rescue the situation, the red card also changed the narrative to some extent. Even after that, we pushed to see if we could salvage the game, unfortunately, we couldn’t.
“You look at that group and everyone still stands the chance to go to the quarter-finals. I had said it that the group would go to the last day.
“Every team is competing very well, what we need to do right now is ensure we get our maximum points against Pirates and see what happens in the other venue,” Osho stated.
After much consultations and deliberations, it’s now confirmed that Nigeria’s representative will host their counterparts from South Africa Orlando Pirates at the Enyimba International Stadium.
Just before the match-day 4 against Ahli Benghazi of Libya, there are speculations on the venue where the People’s Elephants will play the final home game.
Due to the covid 19 restrictions, Nigeria Presidential Task force (PTF) has insisted that the match may not take place in Nigeria, and may take place in a neighboring country.
However, it was confirmed on Monday morning that the match has finally being agreed to be played at the Enyimba international stadium in Aba and slated for 10pm local on Wednesday.
Enyimba need an outright victory to secure its passage to the knockout round while Pirates needs at least a draw to pick knockout stages ticket..
