CBN Open: Tennis Federation Commends Apex Bank

Secretary  General of Nigeria Tennis Federation Dayo Abulude has commended the management of Central Bank of Nigeria for it’s continuous sponsorship of the annual Central Bank of Nigeria  Open Tennis Championship currently going on at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
According to him,  the annual event has not only helped in moving Nigerian tennis forward but has contributed immensely in the discovery and development of talented players who have gone ahead to do the country proud at the international arena.
” We at the Federation are happy with what the CBN is doing in developing tennis in the country. they have through the annual junior and senior championships given hope to many players and we will continue to be grateful to them because the tournament is the biggest in the annual calendar of the Federation.
He then appealed to other corporate organisations to emulate the apex bank and invest not only in tennis but other sports as a way of empowering the youths and crime reduction in the society.
” i want to appeal to other corporate organisations to emulate the Central Bank and invest in sports as it is capable of giving employment to the youths as well as  reduce crime and check youth restiveness because any person that is engaged in sports will have little or no time to think of crime’, he concluded.
