Super Eagles duo of Ola Aina and William Troost- Ekong have been ruled out of the Super Eagles and Sierra Leone Africa Cup of Nations back to back qualifier slated for later in the month by the dreaded Coronavirus epidemic.

Aina who plays for Torino and Troost who laces boots for Udinese have been been affected by the lockdown order by the Italian government who said all sporting activities have been suspended until April 3rd in order to contain the epidemic which has ravaged the country.

Italy is grappling with the coronavirus outbreak – it is not just the hardest-hit country in Europe, but also the second-most affected nation in the world, behind China.

As a result international and commercial activities in Italy have been shut down while movement in and out of the country has been restricted which means the duo will not been available for the two legged AFCON ties between Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

It means Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr will be looking for replacement for the duo although, there are talks of shifting the Africa qualifiers too as most of the players that will represent the country will be coming from Europe where the virus has claimed many lives.

So far 631 people have died  and 10,149  are suffering from the disease which was first reported in Italy a month ago.
