Don’t Kill Our League With Invitation Of Foreign Born Players Into Super Falcon … Osahon

Proprietor of FC Robo, Emmanuel Osahon has expressed his feeling on  the current and consistent invitation of foreign born players to super falcons,

The chairman who spoke to journalist  in Abuja  after his team secured a place in the final of the 2021 AITEO Cup after 7 attempt, said the sudden invitation of players of Nigerian descent to super Falcons will kill the growth of the game and will lead to exodus of players to foreign club before they are even ready for big stage.

‘I am must confess to you my brother, I am  not happy, honestly, it is like they are trying to derail the focus  of NWFL, Nigeria Women Football League. In recent times NWFL has produced star players for the national teams’

‘Four-time Africa’s best is a product of NWFL and many other players but you are abandoning those players for some girls in the collegiate because they signify interest to play for Nigeria at the detriment of locally grown players, then there is a problem for us who owns and manage female football teams in the country and if the trend continues there will be danger for our league and players in the league.

Coach of super falcons, Randy Waldrum has invited over 15 players born outside the shores of the country to the national team since his appointment with four new players expected to be capped in Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament in September.

The super falcons are expected back from their  camping in Austria in preparation for Aisha Buhari Invitational tournament, over 8 countries are expected for the tournament which will be hosted by Lagos state.
