Gboko City Chiefs Basketball Club on Friday emerged the winner of the third edition of Sam Oguche/Bullet Energy Drink Basketball Tournament in the year 2023 after beating their counterpart Mark Town Basketball Club 90-77 to win one million Naira cash price.
It was a mouth-watering final between the two club at the Mo Arena, Basketball court Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, but Gboko City Chiefs showed their supremacy to emerged the winner at the end of the game.
Mark Town who were on the foot right from the jump ball as they dominated the first quarter, taking it 22-19.
Gboko Chiefs came smoking in the second quarter quickly bounced back into the game with more strength and vigour to win the second quarter for a 33-47 half-time scoreline.
Mark Town came with some threat at third quarter but Gboko Chief stood their ground to ensure they extended their lead in the third quarter with 54-66
4th quarter was full of strength to strengthen, skill for skills from both team but excellent finish for Gboko team gave them sweet victory of 90-77.
Winner Gboko City FC smiled home with 1, million Naira while the runner up Mark Town went home with 500,000.
