Gombe Boss Sure Of Promotion To Premiership

Gombe United Chairman, Dr. Larry Daniel is optimistic that his team will gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL class at the end of the season.

Daniel based is optimism on the performance of the team in the ongoing Nigeria National League NNL campaign.

He said Gombe have remained undefeated in 10 games winning 6 and drawing for both at home and on the road.

The Kangiwa Gome of Gombe explained this performance was made by the state government who has been prompt in the payment of their allowances and salaries.

“Whenever the civil servants in the state are paid salaries it is extended to my players and I think this has gone in long way in improving their output.

Besides this the players are hungry to play in the elite division of the league next season,” he said.

He said this was possible due to the improved level of officiating and sanity that has been put in place by the League Management Company LMC and the NNL this season.

The chairman disclosed that the players are in high spirits as they continue their quest to extend their winning streak against Oyan FC of Suleja in a rescheduled tie at the FIFA Goal Project at the MKO Abiola Stadium on Tuesday and go back home to take on group rival Elkanemi in their next home match.

He said the caliber of players in Gombe United fold now he was sure of gaining promotion and going ahead to do well to remain there.i

Daniel said what the team may require at the end of the season are one or two areas that needed to be plugged to be able to compete well in the top division.

 

He exuded confidence that Gombe will qualify during the final play judging by the crop of players on ground insisting that he is sure of promotion at the end.

 

The former Team Manager commended the players for their good performance and urged them to keep it up till end hoping one or two of them may in the process attracts offers from club in Europe.
