Gombe United And Niger Tornadoes Returns To Premier League.

Both teams ensure their passage after a goalless draw between the two teams at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC Stadium) on Saturday  garnering 5 points each from 3 matches from group A

The group which consists of the four northern team, El-kanemi Warriors, Niger Tornadoes, Gombe United and DMD from Borno.

 Niger Tornadoes top the group with 5 points, with superior goal difference of plus 2 goals and while Gombe United had plus 1 goal to guarantee their safe returns after two years in the lower division of the league.

According to coach of Niger Tornadoes Abubakar Bala, who expressed his happiness for the return of his team back to the Nigeria premier league, Said, ” it is not an easy task coming back to the premier league but we thank everyone involved with the promotion effort and we will not disappoint our fans in the league and we are also looking on out to fortify our teams for the challenges ahead” he concluded.

The wait for the two other teams that will join them will be known in few hours as Shooting Stars of Ibadan will take on Ekiiti United at the UNEC Stadium, while Bendel Insurance will take Remo Stars to determine who join the duo of Gombe United and Niger Tornadoes
