Greed makes Rangers crash Egbuchlam’s Tunisian deal

Chisom Egbuchulam…frustrated by greed and in-fighting in Rangers

By Olayinka Elebute

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL)’s Most Valuable Player, Chisom Egbuchulam’s ambition to play Etoile Du Sahel may have been scuttled by Rangers rejection of the transfer fee offered by the Tunisian giants.

According to a reliable source close to the player, Chisom is on his way back home because the Enugu-based team has written to Etoile a letter recalling the player and insisting their offer of 500,000 Dollars must be met and Etoile are only willing to pay less.

Our source is of the opinion that Chisom though will return home but his heart has already left the League champions for greener pastures.

It will be recalled earlier in the week that Rangers has already declared their star players missing and the team in its letter accused Etoile of taking away their player without their consent and the letter which was signed by Ranger Secretary Elder J. Onwukwe asking Etoile to facilitate Chisom Egbuchulam returns to Rangers immediately.

According to our finding it was also revealed that the Rangers board was divided as Chairman of the club Mr. Paul Ozor Chibuzor was accused of running a one-man show in respect of the player’s deal to Etoile and this we gathered divided the Management Board and the player was agreed upon to return to base.

Meanwhile, league leading goal scorer Godwin Obaje of Wikki has penned down a deal with the Tunisia side for 100,000 Dollars and it was revealed that his family were influential to the deal.
