Two times House of Rep member, and Chairman Finance Committee Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande has been honoured for his meritorious services to the development of sports at the grassroots level, where he was honoured with Grassroot Sport Development Award, the award which was held at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Abuja on Friday,
Speaking after the ceremony, Hon. Kwande thanks the organizer of the Nigeria Sevice Awards for finding him worthy of the award, and promised to do more to help in developing the game in any capacity he finds himself.
The former chairman of Mighty Jet, however dedicated the awards to all the current NFF board members for their unflinching support to the development and growth of football in the country.
“I want to thank the NFF president Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick and all the executive board members for their love for the game in the country and I want to which the Super Eagles all the best has they take on the Liberian national team in Tangier on Saturday in their FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The Nigeria Super Eagles will play its return leg of the World Cup qualifiers against Liberia in Tangier on Saturday in Tangier Morocco.
