Former two term member of the house of representatives, Hon. Suleiman Yahaya-Kwande on Monday flagged off an expanded medical outreach for 2021 for his Jos North constituents.
The take off was held at the palace of the district head of Jos Jarawa, Ada Emmanuel Ezekiel whuch from their, he proceeded to the venue of the programme, at G Medical Center, Tina Junction, Jos.
With free medical services which includes diabetes, Malaria, HIV and de-worming.
The event which was sponsored by the former lawmaker in collaboration with NACA was expanded in scope of treatment and number of beneficiaries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Kwande said ” This medical outreach is in what we believe is important and necessary for our people, who are suffering from small diseases and cannot afford to go to the hospital”.
“Adding that, it is necessary to organize such intervention following demands by individual members of my community to provide medical care for them”.
The district head thanks the Hon. Member and his team for identifying with the community despite not in office. He equally thanks him for all the project he has executed in his community during his tenure.
A beneficiary said that “he was encouraged by some neighbours to come and access the free medical services being offered by the former lawmaker and I will say I am glad I needed to their wise counsel. They carried out check up on me and gave me drugs”.
” A beneficiary also said many people came for the outreach, many of us can’t afford to treat our illness but because of this intervention we were able to see doctors and even get drugs” she said.
It will be recalled that Hon Kwande yesterday, flag-off another medical outreach in collaboration with Bello Victor foundation in Bassa.
