World Atheletics (WA) has recieved entries from Nigeria for the World Relays taking place in Poland.
The entries were sent by the Director General of the Atheletics Federation of Nigeria AFN, Pepple Young on during the week in order to beat the timeline for entries.
Gongnews.net, gathered that a confirmation email was immediately to the AFN DG.
Nigeria’s participation had come under threats following the internal crisis rocking the AFN.
On Tuesday, officials from the World Atheletics WA and African Atheletics CAA confirmed that only entries from the Ibrahim Shehu Gusau led AFN will be accepted.
The World Ralays is billed for Silesia, Poland from April 26 to May 2,2021.
It will be recalled that the Gusau led board has been under intense crisis withdrew 8i the Sports Ministry and the sports minister Sunday Dare, who has not giving the board the opportunity to carry out his elective mandate over the past years a situation which almost led to Nigeria missing out at the World Athletic Relays Championship in Poland.
