I Want To Bring Back The  Glorious Days Of  Nigeria Football… Musa Ahmadu

By Olayinka Elebute

Barrister Musa Ahmadu the former General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) who is seeking to be elected as the  president of Nigeria football federation come September 30 in Benin,  has said that his focus will be on what he can offer to fix the dwindling fortune of  Nigerian football.

Presently it is even known to blind men that all is not well with one of the best unifying factors in the country due to lack of vision from the outgoing board.

Ahmadu who officially declared on Tuesday to run for the president of the Nigeria  football body sought for the support of all stakeholders to bring more glorious days back to Nigeria football.

According to him his aim is to create opportunities that will empower every sector of Nigeria society and create gainful employment for people through football.

Speaking,  people are always quick to ask me, what is wrong in Nigerian football that I want to fix? What makes me think I can fix these ills? And I always answer – my focus is not only on what is wrong.

“My friends, elders and colleagues, my focus is on what can be made right!

“We want to build an image of Nigerian football that will make the Nigerian person walk tall in the street anywhere in the world and be referred to as ‘the guy or lady who comes from that football country where everything is well-run’.

“We want to create opportunities for people who hitherto would not have had a chance to be anywhere near a football field – job opportunities that will take our youth off the streets, football opportunities that will empower every sector of our society and create gainful employment.

“We want to build an image of Nigerian football that will make the Nigerian person walk tall in the street anywhere in the world and be referred to as ‘the guy or lady who comes from that football country where everything is well-run.” he concluded
