Kings FC Set For Heroic NNL Entrance — Coach Samuel

Kings Football Club of Abuja have qualified for the final round of the 2023 Nationwide League One playoff.

The Abuja based team progressed to the final round of the play-off after beating Bussdor United Football Club of Nyanyan 3-0 in the encounter that took place at the Fifa Goal Project of Package B of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja .

The team will be hoping to gain promotion to the country’s second tier league, the Nigeria Nation League if they win their next match against Maikulekule of Minna on May 26, 2023.

Speaking to after their victory over Bussdor United FC, head coach of Kings Football Club, Abimbola Samuel said the team prepared very well in order to gain heroic Promotion to the NNL.

“We took our time to select the boys from the grassroots and I thank God the boys are doing what they can do best though it was not an easy task.

“We will continue to groom the boys for more victory, we assembled the team a month to the tournament but we are glad our efforts were rewarded” he added.

Coach Abimbola also expressed confidence that the team will get job done against Maikukule FC when the two sides meet of May 26.

“We will ensure victory in our next match so that we can move to NNL in grand style.

“As a coach,I am not strange to NNL, I know the terrain and by the grace of God we will take it as it comes.

On his part, General Manager of the team Oluwatosin Kayode said his target is not to gain promotion to the NNL but to bring Premier League football to the FCT.

“We Started the team about three months ago and I believe the sky is the limit for us.

” our target is to get promoted to the NNL and from there we move higher to the next level.

“we can complete with any team in the NNL and we are not afraid of any team.

The final round of the play off will take place on the 26th of May 2023 with a venue yet to be decided by the management of the Nationwide League One
