By Oluwole Francis

The Chairman of Hotcoal basketball team of Abuja, Ubong Udoh the essentials of Hotcoal in this championship is the high level for the female game so we are definitely going to be part of that and our objectives is to win .

We know that it’s tough competition but we are happy to be here and see here comparing ourselves to other teams and where we need to improve and the things we need to do to get to the level we want to get to.

When you talk about the level there are plans to Hotcoal babes participating in the league? yes of course this is like a warm up for us to any of the other league and structure of other league that are coming up.

The little I have seen about my girls am very impressed and of course their is always room for improvement and we have strengthened the team in some areas and we are seeing the results of the scouting and recruitment we did and we are going to see by the end of the tournament where the gaps are and also see how we can strengthen the management as well and make sure that the players are well taken care also and we have prepared well for them.

“We have a good team the coaches is the director of basketball operations and we got an excellent team manager and you know I give all the credit to the team that supports the club they are doing a excellent job and we have a special selected players that are committed and that’s important to us last year we won nine trophies out of eleven tournament so we want to start this year as well.

We have what we call a sustainable framework we have developed; to provide funding for the clubs either am here or not and I think passion is everything and that’s what drives scarifies and that what drives commitments and I am passionately about basketball not just for the season for I have also male teams as well as Hotcoal basketball you guys around are also passionate about sports that’s why you are reporting this.

Passion drives everything but most important thing is for me Hotcoal basketball clubs is a way you can give back that’s the way I do my CSR and I think is an opportunity an excellent opportunity providing for the kids to get a better life and that is why we are doing this I already have a academy that will graduate talents to the main team  in the future he concluded.

Meanwhile on Tuesday Hotcoal Basketball team lost to MFM Basketball team at the ongoing Mark D Ball Basketball Championship 44 to 36 points.
