Naija Super 8 Organiser To Keep Faith With Legend

With the outstanding success recorded at the just concluded Super-8 in Lagos, the organiser of the event are set to keep faith with the Nigerian football legend.

According to the chief organiser Jenkins Alumona of Flykite productions, who stated this while appreciating their effort to bring back the glorious day of Nigeria football.
“I really appreciate your effort coming to support and mentor the teams at the tournament and I hope by the next edition we  will get better with our packages for you and I want to assure you that we will keep faith with these team of legend and it will only be if anyone of you is not available then we will be forced to bring in another legend but as it is I will always keep my team for the subsequent editions of Naija Super 8”  he said.
The mentors were  appointed as the ceremonial heads of the clubs, and are  expected to motivate, advise and support their teams throughout the tournament,

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Enyimba of Aba, were mentored by former Ajax winger, Tijani Babangida, while one of the wildcard teams, Sporting Lagos, was mentored by former VFL Wolfsburg and Super Eagles striker, Jonathan Akpoborie.

Super Eagles 2002 World Cup goalkeeper, Ike Shorunmu,  mentored the other wildcard team, Akwa United, with  Mutiu Adepoju, was attached to  Lobi Stars.of Makurdi

Remo Stars of Ikenne have been assigned to  former FC Shakhtar Donetsk  striker, Julius Aghahowa, as mentor, 1997 African Player of the Year Victor Ikpeba will mentor giant killers, Yobe Desert Stars. Katsina United will be mentored by NPFL legend, Victor Ezeji, while Rivers United got former Super Eagles player, Garba Lawal.

The finals which was won by Sporting Lagos, witnesses large turn out of football fans on the final day of the Naija Super 8 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan.
