Nigeria Football Federation board member Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has reiterated the board commitment to the Nationwide league, speaking with journalist in Jos,plateau state the Chairman of Chairmen who also double as the chairman of NFF Covid-19 monitoring committee said in his words that the Federation will continue to support National league
“We are doing our best and we will continue to support NLO, its the federation baby so we can’t ignore it that’s why we were there to render support for them we want them to grow and we must keep our tab on them” he said.
While appreciating the Plateau state government and people for the support they are giving to football in the state, the Zamfara state FA chairman further explain why the Nationwide has chosen to allow for a zonal league across 8 centres all over the country.
“It’s the first time we are test running a zonal league format for the lower league, and with what I have seen its a good project and with the insecurity situation in the country we cannot afford to risk the life of our young players. That is the reason we choose the format where the teams will converge at a venue and play against each other, and you must agree with me it has been one of the best experiment for our league”. he concluded.
The 8 zone will produce a winner each which will earn them a promotion to the National League.
