Nigeria Football Need More Than A Replacement For Amaju Pinnick But a Competent Person Who Understand What An Average Football Loving Nigerian Want, And The North Are Lost Between Devil And The Deep Blue Sea And Who Stand To Build An Atmospere For All Nigeria Among These Northern Brides,We Will Ex-ray Some Northern prospects who are eligible to rule the game.

Shehu Dikko-LMC- (League Management Company)He was a strong aspirant for NFF Presidency in 2014 but later settled for LMC Chairmanship since then. That might be a blessing to him but not the local development of football in the Country. It is on record that Super Sports’ coverage of Nigerian Premiership Football League came to an end due to poor relationship between the global sports media and the country. Little wonder why local players are now reduced to training materials for the national team as the technical crew of Super Eagles always make for visible foreign players, featured around the globe on Super Sports.

Hon. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande-Chairman, Finance Committee, NigeriaFootball Federation- A former Chairman of Mighty Jet of Jos who will always be remembered for lifting the club from the Nigerian National League (NNL) to the prestigious Nigerian Premiership Football League (NPFL). Apart from being a respected two -term House of Representatives Member, from Plateau State, Hon. Kwande has being a respected Chairman, NFF Finance Committee for almost eight years without being fingered in any financial mess in the Federation, though a third term member,Hon kwande remains the youngest but it is said that he doesn’t contribute to NFF activities like other board members do,he quietness has made people call him weak.

Ibrahim Musa Gusau- Chairman of Chairmen -The Football Association Chairman in Zamfara State is equally qualified to lead the federation but football career in his state is sinking into oblivion since he assumed the position. Although he is the chairman of FA Chairmen, a deciding factor in NFF elections.

Ahmed Yusuf Fresh-Chairman , Technical Committee, NFF- F.A Chairman of Niger State and great supporter of football development in the country. Even when he had said at several for that he had no intention for NFF number one job, he would have made a strong contender for the post but inability of his Committee to be above water in ensuring that Super Eagles qualify for the Qatar 2022 World cup will be a great stumbling block to his possible emergence.

From the appointment of technical crew to team formation, Nigerians are still bitter about the Committee and the entire NFF exco.

Chris Giwa- Chairman, defunct Giwa FC, a former cup contender in the NPFL. Chris Giwa’s last attempt for NFF Chairmanship was in 2014 when he emerged a factional president in an election held at Chida Hotel Abuja but which was nullified due to the absence FIFA representative during the election but the presence of FIFA and Federa Government representatives in the Warri election led to Amaju Pinnick’s emergence as NFF President since 2014.

Giwa contested his victory and got justice from courts in the Country but it is an open secret that only the Court of Arbitration on Sports (CAS) can validate contentious board of National Football Federation across the world. Another likely obstacle for Giwa may be how to get majority support of FA Chairmen.

Musa Ahmadu- Former NFF Secretary-General: An engine room of the Aminu Maigari-led board is also a likely contender for the topmost job this time around. He sided with Amaju Pinnick side in the 2014 NFF leadership tussle and contributed to its victory against the Chris.Giwa camp. The Kaduna-born administrator managed to spend only two years with Pinnick before they fell apart and he resigned from the office.

Aminu Maigari- A one time NFF President (2010-2014) who had unresolvable issue with the government of the day, which made his second term bid impossible in 2014. He gave NFF Presidency a shot again in 2018 but lost to the incumbent President during the keenly contested election held in Katsina.

Abba Yola- A football administrator and former Chairman of Kano Pillar Football Club. He contested against Amaju Pinnick in 2014 but lost in the Warri NFF election. He was off the scene since then until his recent appointment as the Chief of Staff to Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sports Development.

Hon. Geoffrey Gaya- A former member of the House of Representatives who once chaired House Committee on Sports. He was the Committee Chairman in 2014 when the emergence of Pinnick board was being seriously challenged by Chris Giwa. Hon. Gaya-led Committee was said to be more disposed to Pinnick, which helped his board to easily settle down in office despite legal tussle and defeat in court within the country.

A.U. Mustapha (S.A.N)- A legal luminary and football administrator who currently serves on the board of Confederation of African Football (CAF) Board of Appeal. Mustapha is also the CAF Assistant General Coordinator and organiser of COPA Lagos Invitational Beach Tournaments. Even as NFF Lawyer, he is also likely to contest for the topmost job in the board.

Patrick Pascal M.o.n- (Eto Option) The Ex-International is the only former Player amongst them and the current Chairman of Bauchi Football Association, Coordinator of the Super Eagles for over seven years, former Chairman Wikki F.C, member Nff Technical Committee, chief operation Officer ANFPU, He is a staunch supporter of Amaju Pinnick who once said even if Pinnick leaves the seat, only Congress Member can succeed him as the board President.

Hon. Lumumba Da Adeh- A former vice Chairman to Oyuki Obaseki in the former Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and former House of Representatives Member is also the proprietor of the defunct Jos City Raiders FC. He was silent for sometime but now speaking up as an advocate of change in the status of NFF from the current FIFA dominance in the emergence of its board.

Silas Agara- A former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state who is the present President of Karate Federation of Nigeria is likely to contest as NFF President in the 2022 election. He is a strong lover of sports.

Dominic Iorfa, An Ex- International and Vice Chairman, Lobi Star Football Club of Markurdi, a Professional League side in Nigeria. He contested for NFF Presidency against Pinnick in the 2014 NFF election held in Warri. He was once booted out as as Lobi Star Boss due to victory drought but was recently reabsorbed early April as the Vice Chairman of the Club. He is still interested in the NFF topmost office.

Salihu Abubakar- The Chief Operating Officer, Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) since 2013 and undoubtedly the longest and most experienced football in the Country is also likely to aspire for the number job in NFF.Salihu is said to be the brains behind most of the innovation that brought stability in the NPFL from Obaseki to Dikko, one of the few who actually has a sports Degree and many Advance sport courses.

Dr. Muhammed Sanusi has been the scribe of NFF in the last six years following the exit of Musa Ahmadu as the General Secretary. He is a loyal board member to the outgoing President Amaju Pinnick but the resounding call for leadership change may lead him into the aspirant ring for the number one job.

Isaac Danladi-A football administrator who is the current Chairman of Nasarawa United, a NPFL club side and also the Chairman, Nigeria Premier League Club owner is an interested party in the NFF leadership position. Danladi is also a member of the NFF Technical Committee that came up with futile strategies which denied a football nation like Nigeria ,the opportunity to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, paving way for the nation’s least obstacle, the Black Stars of Ghana.

Mike Idoko- A former Vice Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi who was booted out due to poor performance in the league. Although he once managed to a lofty height Sunshine Star Football club of Akure when they got to Semi Final in the CAF Champions League. He going also a likely contestant for the NFF Presidential position.
