The chairman of Nasarawa United, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi Osanga has boasted that they are going to put the past behind them and take their place at the ongoing 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

He made this known in a phone conversation with Instant Africa sports after NUFC claimed their first away point in Uyo in a five weeks old league season.

Mr. Osanga noted that the boys have realized the need to convert their chances in front of goal post, having in mind that their number one supporter, His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule wants the team go out and excel.

“I have spoken to the technical crew and the players the need to step up their game, because that is the only way they can benefit from the magnanimity of Gov. Abdullahi Sule.

In the same vain, the state commissioner for youth and sports, Hon. Othman Adams has congratulated the team for pulling away drew and charged them to do more, stressing that Gov. Sule is ready to support them to enable them put smiles in the faces of their fans and the state at large at the end of the season.

“I am sure the boys are rediscovering themselves. The 1-1 draw away to Akwa United is a good omen, and I hope the boys will keep momentum because his Excellency Gov. Sule is ready to support them if only the boys will step up their games, forget the past and return to the wining way as they did in the preseason tournament in Kano,” Hon. Adams noted.
