Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Chief Tonobok Okowa has emerged as the Athletics Federation of Nigeria President.
Okowa was elected unopposed winning all the 41 votes cutting across the delegates which included the Paramilitary, Military and other organizations.
The position of the first Vice President went to Gadzama Kafila was also elected as the first Vice President with 43 votes while former athlete, Rosa Collins became the second Vice President with 42 votes.
Speaking after the election, Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Elias Gora thanked everybody for the successful conduct and asked the AFN Secretariat to keep the results for record purposes.
The new members were later in the day inaugurated.
