OYO PDP: MAKINDE SETS TO RESOLVE CRISIS, INAUGURATES STEERING COMMITTEE

The governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has inaugurated steering committee to look into crisis rocking the party and bring all aggrieved factions together in the spirit of reconciliation.

The steering committee was inaugurated at the government house, Agodi, Ibadan with its seven members, chaired by Chief Dr. Saka Balogun.

Governor Makinde charged the committee to as a matter of priority consider some members of the party whose legitimate requests and expectations had not been met as well as address various grievances and acrimony amongst party members in order to forge a united platform.

He said, he is more determined to fulfill the people’s hopes and aspiration for a better Oyo state. He added that though his administration is just a year in office, he however not ignorance of the fact that people still have high expectations from his administration.

While responding after the inauguration, the chairman of the committee Dr Saka Balogun said since the Governor had admitted the various agitations in the party, the committee would duly work to justify the opportunity to serve.

Those in the committee are Dr Saka Balogun, Chief (Mrs.) Mutiat Ladoja, Chief Sunday Ogunlade, Chief Olayiwola Baale, Chief Jacob Adetoro, Chief Jumoke Akinjide and the state PDP Chairman Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha.
