Chairman of Kano Pillars Alhaji Surajo Yahaya, has stated that the League is a marathon race and you can’t determine the champion until the final day of the league he made this assertion when speaking to journalist in Abuja.
“The League is a marathon race you can’t determine your champions until it is over being 3rd is not where Pillars ought to be though, we want to win the league but these is football its not mathematics its not 2+2=4.
Definitely we are doing well and our focus is to get a continental slot in the league but that can’t be determine until the final day my team are trying and we are pushing hard to be to get a slot and whatever happens are the 90 minutes being played everywhere he said.
With the league in his final laps the chairman said, we are still pushing for a top finish for our team because of our status as one of the top team in the league will hope to get a comfortable finish he concluded.
The NPFL end with just two games to go, the Sai Masu Gida will host northern brother Wikki Tourist on Sunday while their last league game will be away to Heartland of Owerri on match day 38
